Properties

  • High-strength steel – tough and fine-grained, can be formed and welded

  • Further increased stability through age-hardening [addition of aluminium, titanium, niobium or vanadium]

Properties

  • Low carbon steel [C < 0,25%] for case hardening – complex formed workpiece with a wear resistant surface and a tough core
  • Execution of geometrically complex forms, as materials in a soft annealed condition exhibit an ideal tensile strength ratio
  • Targeted enrichment of the surface with carbon combined with heat treatment / high hardness around the edges

C22E – C60E, 46Cr1, 25CrM04 – 42CrMo4, 50CrMo4, 22MnB4 – 40MnB5, 27MnCrB5-2

Properties

  • Similar to case-hardening steels – improved wear resistance as it obtains its hardness over the entire cross section
  • Increased toughness by adding manganese, chrome and Molybdan / tensions in the ferritic atomic lattice
  • Limited carbon content to increase the strength to max. 0,2% / no reduction of the toughness and weldability
  • Carbon steels with min. 0,25%, which are refined by adding other alloying elements such as molybdenum, chrome, nickel, manganese; increased hardening depth [chrome] or increased thermal resistance [nickel]
  • The first step [hardening] includes a change of the martensite microstructure / hard and tough structure; in the second step [tempering] the hardness is reduced / the toughness is increased

C55S – C100S, 75Cr1, 51CrV4, 58CrV4, 80CrV2, 48Si7, 56Si7, 75Ni8, 125Cr2, 102Cr6

Properties

  • Special group of Q & T steels – higher elasticity and tensile strength by adding chrome, vanadium and silicon; grain refinement and sinking critical rate of cooling
  • The combination with a clean, cold-rolled surface texture results in a considerable improved endurance resistance
  • Flat steel diaphragm spring [51CrV4 / 58CrV4] gain a more effective storage of work capacity
